ST. PETER PORT, GUERNSEY, Feb 01, 2010 (MARKETWIRE via COMTEX) — Tethys Petroleum Limited (“Tethys” or the “Company”) (TSX: TPL) today announced the appointment of Graham Wall as Chief Operating Officer (“COO”) of the Tethys Petroleum Group of Companies effective today.
Mr Wall, who has been promoted from his previous position as Vice President Technical, will head up a strengthened operations team which will be responsible for all operational activities including production, reservoir engineering and development, field planning, drilling and production operations, production geology and well testing.

Mr Wall holds a B.Sc.(Hons) degree in exploration and mining geology from the University of Wales, UK. He is a Fellow of the Geological Society (FGS), a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), a member of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG) and a member of the Petroleum Exploration Society of Great Britain (PESGB).
Tethys is focused on oil and gas exploration and production activities in Central Asia with activities currently in the Republics of Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. This highly prolific oil and gas area is rapidly developing and Tethys believes that significant potential exists in both exploration and in discovered deposits.
